"A photograph is merely a likeness of the subject portrayed. A wise person once said 'You do not take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it.'"
Courtney received her BFA in Studio Arts with an Emphasis in Photography and a minor in Business Management from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2013. Growing up on a family farm in Minnesota was a large influence on Courtney's work; her love for animals and being outdoors sparked her passion for landscape and nature photography.
Among other notable awards, Courtney has been published three times in Photographer's Forum's "Best of College Photography," was chosen as a Special Recognition Artist for an international exhibition through the Light, Space, Time online gallery, and received second place honors in an international exhibition hosted by the Starkweather Arts Center in Romeo, Michigan. Currently, you can view Courtney's work at the Maple Grove Arts Center as a hosted member.
Courtney proudly resides in the great state of Minnesota with her husband, Paul, and their daughter June.

Courtney is the sweetest thing with an absolutely wonderful eye for what she does. I have a number of her prints hanging in my home and have gifted several to family and friends (all of whom have loved them). I can't wait to buy more from her in the future!
